NSRV Obelix is the student rugby heartbeat of Nijmegen, proudly playing in green and yellow since 1970. Built on graft, friendship and a busy student calendar, Obelix gives newcomers a soft landing and old hands a proper test, all wrapped in that match day, third half grin Nijmegen is famous for. 

Obelix welcomes men and women from the city’s universities, with socials that are as inclusive as the sessions on the field. The club has grown into one of Nijmegen’s long standing student sports associations, balancing competitive rugby with a big, open community that makes joining simple and fun. 

Training is clear and consistent, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 20:00 to 22:00, on the Radboud Sportcentrum fields, followed by the kind of team dinner and clubhouse buzz that keeps people coming back. If you are curious about rugby, Obelix is the best first step you can take in the city.
